There is something special about putting color to canvas. It transfers emotion exponentially from the artist to the viewer. There is so much in nature that surrounds us worthy of being painted. I have chosen these four garden settings that others might have overlooked or "taken for granted." They are both casual and formal in style. When a subject that I choose for a painting makes a strong connection with those who view my work, I feel a certain kinship with the viewers that might not be possible with words. I hope my work conveys the beauty that I saw and the sense of peace that I felt while painting these gardens.
